What does the practical exam at the CBR cost?
The costs for the CBR practical exam are separate from your lesson package at Rijschool Denhaag. We explain exactly what to expect, so there are no surprises.
CBR exam fee: what do you pay in 2026?
The CBR charges approximately €120 to €130 for a standard category B practical exam in 2026. This amount is indexed annually and is therefore slightly higher than a few years ago. Always check the current rates on cbr.nl, as small adjustments can vary year on year. You pay this amount directly to the CBR when registering — it is entirely separate from the lessons you take with us.
If an interim assessment (TTT) is scheduled, additional costs apply. A resit exam is also paid in full to the CBR again. It is therefore worth being well prepared before booking your exam date.
What is and is not included in our lesson package?
The lesson package at Rijschool Denhaag covers the driving lessons themselves, transport to the CBR exam centre in Rijswijk and use of the lesson car during the exam. The cost of the CBR exam, any resits and the application for your licence through the RDW are your own responsibility and are not charged through us.
We are deliberately transparent about this split. You know exactly what you pay us and what you owe directly to the CBR. That way you never face unexpected bills after your exam. If you have questions about the total budget for your licence journey, please feel free to call us.
