Planning

How far ahead do I need to plan?

A driving lesson works best when booked at fixed times. Here you will find how much notice to allow, which slots fill up fastest and how to secure your place.

Book at least a week in advance

At Rijschool Denhaag we recommend booking lessons at least a week in advance. For popular slots — evenings and weekends — booking two weeks ahead is advisable. If you would like a regular lesson on the same day each week, it is smart to lock in a recurring slot as soon as you start. That way you are guaranteed your time slot.

During the day on weekdays there are usually more options at shorter notice. Students and retirees who are flexible can sometimes book a lesson within the same week. For evening and weekend lessons, these fill up early, especially during the busy school term.

Cancelling and rescheduling: what are the rules?

Can't make a lesson? Cancel at least 24 hours in advance by phone or WhatsApp. Lessons cancelled less than 24 hours before the scheduled time may be charged in full. This policy also applies in case of illness — please contact us as early as possible if you know you cannot make it. That way your slot can be offered to another student.

Want to reschedule rather than cancel? That is possible, provided you also contact us at least 24 hours in advance. We will find a new time together. If you regularly cancel or plan last-minute, this may affect the availability of slots for you.
